Dragon Beard Candy
Dragon Beard Candy can probably be best described to a total stranger of this sweet as a tasty little cocoon shaped morsel. Most people who have tried this treat will say the sensation is quite similar to cotton candy. However, those who eat it after it has been sitting on the shelf for a bit may say it feels more like taffy.

Break it open to reveal the nutty and coconut goodness.  The contents may vary depending on the maker.

Of course, it’s probably best to eat the whole thing in one bite as the flaking powder can cause a big mess. If you are looking for some, you are most likely to find it being sold by street venders in Hong Kong, China or the local China Town.

You have to love the name of this candy. Only the Chinese can come up with it! It reminds me of the black moss vegetable that looks exactly like human hair!

Dragon beard candy is ADORABLE! I want to take it home and keep it as a pet! Housebroken, doesn't need too much attention: perfect.

Do you know where this can be bought in the U.S.? When I was a kid, there was a small shop in San Gabriel Valley that sold dragon beard candy, but they have long since closed shop :(
